My First WNL

WNL...also known as Wednesday Night Live at Calvary Lutheran Church is the programming for confirmation on Wednesday nights. Tonight was are big Youth Center grand opening, We have a brand new youth center at church and tonight was the first time all of the viedo games, tvs, pool tables, ping pong tables and all that jazz was set up and people were able to use it. It is a pretty sweet youth room though, I will try to post pictures at some point. There were times when I wondered about having such a fancy youth room how it could help there kids grow in there faith, but tonight I saw so many kids who sometimes are disconnected get excited when they saw everything that we had for them, it was a place I hope that they feel like comfortable. I played "Would You Rather" with a lot of the kids for a while. It was a great way to connect some the the jr. high boys. Another great way I have connected with the kids lately is over baseball and the love for the Minnesota Twins. Have I mentioned lately that I love my job...because I love my job. Especially after tonight when all of the kids were there. There is a lot of room for me to grow though in is this job which is really exciting as well. Well its been a lot of hours at work this week and I am one tired girl.....I hope that everything is going well for everyone else. And can we get a "We're going to win Twins, were going to score"

That's a lot of People!!

How many people can you fit in a one bedroom...a lot. Last night about 20 FLBCers got together because what holds us all together (besides God) Storyhill. For those of you who don't know Storyhills music I wish I could describe to you just how wonderful it is...I think the best word that I can think of for lack of better words is captavating...they are Montana with a little "inside emotion" if you will. But don't take my word for it experience Storyhill for yourself and you will see what I mean. Thanks for a great time FLBCers...it was so great to see you all!!
  

Como Zoo!

There is nothing better than to take a 5 year old to the zoo and watch her get excited for each animal and run around with Joy. Yesterday emily and I took Lucy to Como Zoo and we had such a good time together!!

Girls day out!!

After Em and I went to the Zoo with Lucy we went to a great Minnesota Twins game....they beat the Tigers!! It was great to spend the day with Emily....I love being in the cities!!

 

Everything is going great. I am all settled into my apartment and staying busy with work I am really starting to connect with the youth which is the best part about my job! Tomorrow night a lot of my camp friends that I havn't seen in over a year are coming over for a pre-storyhill party...Expect lots of new pictures.
