Home for the Holidays

After two absent Thanksgivings it was great to be home for Thanksgiving this year. It was a great couple of days of relaxing and being with family and of course eating :) It was nice to have a couple of days off of work as well, everything is still going great but I had worked a lot of nights the week before and it was nice to go up "north" to Forest Lake. :) Posted by Picasa

MVP

You could say that I was just a little bit excited to find out that Justin Morneau won the MVP, truth be told I was sitting at my office hitting the refresh button on espn.com from 1 on. Here is a picture of my Dad, my oldest nephew (Justin is asking him if he is suppose to be in school, Sam just smiles, laughs, and said were on vacation) and I getting Justin's autograph at Spring Training 06!

Meeting Olivia Grace

Today I got to meet Laura's little girl Olivia Grace!! She is so beautiful. It was so sureal to see Laura (we have been best friends since 7th grade) holding her daughter, sureal but wonderful. It amazes me how different our lives can be from eachother when we are in our 20's, but yet were still the same.

Everything else is going really great. I feel like I am starting to really adjust to living in Minnesota, it has taken me a lot longer than I thought but I am feeling settled here, and I am enjoying investing into new and old friendship.

I am still loving my job, it is going really good, I am still in the process of getting ot know the kids and their families but each week I feel more and more at home and attached to Calvary!

I hope that everything is going well for all of you who still check my blog : )

Hello's and Goodbye's

It has been a long time since I have written, I think it is because I don't have my camera out nearly as much as I did while I was going to school and lets face it blogs are just more fun with Pictures.

Well the last five months of my life have been full of goodbye's and hello's. Leaving Boston was really hard, but I think I am realizing just how hard it is now that I have been away for a while. I miss it like crazy. I miss my friendships and seeing people who know me so well everyday and I miss living in a community. I might even miss going to starbucks and doing my homework everynight... well maybe just the starbucks part. But that saddness has been overshadowed by moving to Minnesota where my family and many friends were here waiting for me to come home. But than I had to say good bye to Emily my best friend in Minneapolis, she just moved to CA, and saying good bye to her was hard and filled with many tears just like many of my good byes in Boston. But like I said I have many friends here and a wonderful family. It is just getting used to having a new set of people in your everyday life. It is an ajustment I didn't expect to be this hard at all. But that is life full of surprises and emotions!

Here are some pics of my life lately...My Aunt Gail came to visit from CO. which was wonderful to be able to spend time with her. While she was here we went out to my Aunt and Uncles farm in Danube where my Dad grew up. While we were there they boys (thomas, Sean, and Sam) and I played a lot of football :)

Here is a picture from a Halloween party last sat. night with my good friends Ann, Laura, and Christina from Flathead....these are some of the girls I am very grateful to say "hello" to you!

Well that is all for now, I have my first 7th grade retreat this weekend at Wapo (the first camp I worked at before my flathead days) I am very excited we are going to be taking about the importance of prayer, and any day I get to wear comfy clothes, play Big Feild Games, and help kids grow in there faith is a great day to me :)

Peace to all Posted by Picasa
